RAID: Shadow Legends has turned the road to Oz into a dark fantasy event, and the important part is not just the theme. Echoes of Oz has several reward routes with different deadlines: a free Legendary Champion through a login programme, a time-limited Event Dungeon, summonable Champions, and a collection reward that will not remain available forever.

For players returning to Teleria, or starting an account during the event, the first priority is simple: begin Dorothy Chase before its enrolment window closes. The rest of the event can then be approached according to how much time and how many resources you want to commit.

The Short Version

Echoes of Oz began on August 19, 2026. Its main Event Dungeon and the event's limited collection reward end on November 10. Dorothy Chase has a later finish date of November 19, but it cannot be started after November 5.

Dorothy Gale is the most accessible event reward. She is a Legendary Spirit Support Champion from the Banner Lords faction, and the first part of Dorothy Chase awards her after logging in on seven different days. You do not need to treat the whole event as a race to collect every Oz Champion to make that login track worthwhile.

Echoes of Oz Dates to Know

MilestoneDateWhy it matters
Echoes of Oz beginsAugust 19, 2026The themed event, Dorothy Chase, and Event Dungeon begin.
Last day to start Dorothy ChaseNovember 5, 2026Players who have not enrolled by this date cannot begin the login path.
Event Dungeon and collection reward endNovember 10, 2026The Ozilda Dungeon, Chronophage Gear route, and special collection reward are time-limited.
Dorothy Chase concludesNovember 19, 2026Complete the required login days before this date to claim Dorothy and the associated track rewards.

These dates are the reason this event deserves a calendar rather than a generic “what's new” summary. The Dungeon closes before Dorothy Chase does, and the start deadline arrives before either one.

Dorothy Gale Is the First Reward to Prioritise

Dorothy Gale is the central reward for most players because her basic route does not require a Fusion or a specific Shard pull. Open the Dorothy Chase programme, then log in on seven different days to recruit her. The official event page also lists a further seven days of rewards after Dorothy joins your collection, followed by extra objectives.

Dorothy is not presented as a damage dealer. Her official Champion guide identifies her as a Support Champion whose kit revolves around removing or stealing enemy buffs, placing debuffs, and improving when she fights beside other Oz Champions. That makes her a meaningful roster addition, but it does not mean every player needs to chase the entire themed group immediately.

The practical takeaway is straightforward: if you want Dorothy, start the programme now and protect the seven-day login window. Do not wait until the final week and assume the event can still be joined.

Five Legendary Champions, Different Acquisition Routes

The event has five featured Legendary Champions, but they are not earned through one shared activity.

That distinction matters. Dorothy is the predictable login reward. The Cowardly Lion Fusion was a separate, time-bound commitment. The remaining Champions rely on summon routes rather than a universal free path. Treating all five as equally obtainable is the easiest way to misunderstand the event.

What the Event Dungeon Adds

Ozilda the Wicked is the boss of the returning Event Dungeon. The Dungeon remains open until November 10 and is the route for exclusive Chronophage Gear alongside other rewards. The associated Challenge Stages add one-time rewards for players who can clear Stages 31 through 35.

This is a different objective from Dorothy Chase. A new or returning player can still secure the login Champion without being ready for the most demanding Dungeon stages. Conversely, a more developed account may care more about the Dungeon rewards and collection goals than the seven-day login track.

Before committing resources: separate the guaranteed login Champion from the time-limited Dungeon and collection goals. They ask different things from an account.

What Is Actually Time-Limited?

Not every part of Echoes of Oz disappears at the same time. The Event Dungeon, Chronophage Gear opportunity, themed collection reward, and related profile rewards are the urgent pieces. Plarium has said the five Champions will remain available after the event through their listed summon routes, but that does not preserve the special event rewards for later.

The collection reward is especially easy to misread. Recruiting all five Oz Champions before the event ends grants the themed Badge and an additional gift, including a Profile Background. That is a completionist objective, not a prerequisite for claiming Dorothy Gale.

What Players Should Do This Week

  1. Start Dorothy Chase before November 5. This is the deadline that removes the most accessible reward route.
  2. Log in on seven different days. That is the confirmed requirement for Dorothy Gale.
  3. Check the Event Dungeon in-game before investing resources. Its rewards are time-limited, but its higher Challenge Stages are not a realistic first goal for every account.
  4. Decide whether the full collection is truly your objective. The five Champions use different acquisition paths, so the collection reward should not be treated as a casual side objective.
  5. Recheck the Event Hub schedule. Live-service event timings and active summon boosts can change, even when the headline dates are fixed.

The Bottom Line

Echoes of Oz is worth following because it gives RAID players a clear, dated path to a free Legendary Support Champion while also giving established accounts a separate Dungeon and collection challenge. The most useful move is not to chase every reward blindly. It is to begin Dorothy Chase before the enrolment deadline, then decide whether your account is ready to pursue the time-limited Dungeon and collection goals.
